Room type:

Come away for a little while…

Give yourself the gift of time and space to slow down, breathe, create, and reconnect with yourself.

Through the intuitive and playful process of SoulCollage®, meaningful conversation, and quiet reflection, we’ll explore the practice of radical acceptance—learning to meet ourselves, our lives, and whatever is present with greater openness, curiosity, and compassion.

We will also be guided in creating a handmade journal to record our thoughts, revelations, images, and aha moments that come with accepting what is, right now.

Deborah Milosevich and Kat Kirby invite you to slow down, tune into all your parts, and let the land, the light, and the magic of Taos, guide this creative journey.

What might happen if, just for a little while, you didn’t have to fix anything? Change anything? Figure everything out?

Together, we’ll allow images and imagination guide us toward the parts of ourselves that may be longing to be seen, heard, understood, or simply welcomed. There are no right answers and no artistic experience required—only a willingness to be curious about what might emerge.

We will begin our retreat by gathering in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the Mabel Dodge Luhan House for an evening of connection.

This is your invitation to relax, unwind, and meet the kindred spirits who will share this journey with you.

SoulCollage is a magical and often profound process of creating a unique and personal deck of oracle cards, developed by the late Seena Frost. With this process, using our intuition, imagination, and images, we create cards that reflect parts of our Selves, and gradually build our SoulCollage deck. This becomes our personal story, describing in images who we are, the roles we play, our supporters and challengers, and the archetypes that guide us.

We welcome new SoulCollagers too. If you're new to SoulCollage, you can begin creating your deck at this retreat.

In the mornings and afternoons, we’ll spend time in the studio, in community.

We will build our SoulCollage decks, one image at a time, one card at a time, sharing our stories with one another.

We may approach each card with curiosity and compassion, asking:

  • What is here that I am ready to accept?

  • What might change if I stopped resisting it and simply allowed it to be?

Let your cards guide you. There are no right answers—only an invitation to listen deeply to what arises.

Kat will guide you through the process of creating a handmade journal, which will become your unique Treasure Book, a memory book about the retreat, to reflect on and re-visit from time to time, remembering the synchronicities and surprises that you found.

Evenings can be spent wandering into town, reading, creating in the studio, or relaxing in front of the fireplace at the main house.

During our retreat, you’ll have the option to walk the labyrinth, either on your own or with the group.

We will also experience a hands on drumming event at Taos Drums, where we will be invited to play a variety of rhythm instruments and learn some of the local traditions.

Once you arrive at the Mabel Dodge Luhan House,  you are invited to slow down and take a deep breath.

Settle into your comfortable room, take a walk and feel the fresh air renew your spirit.

Radical acceptance is calling you.

You are welcome here.
