Description
Come join guest instructor Debra Mager traveling to Prescott from Asheville, NC, for her signature Birds and Other Creatures workshop.
We meet from 10am - 4:30pm (Pacific Time) on Saturday and Sunday, with a break for lunch.
Debra will instruct you on the various materials and adhesives that work for 3D vertical applications. She will help you navigate nooks and bumps your creature may have so you can work on a smooth surface.
She will show bird makers how to make glass feathers, how to cover beaks, and how to make unique hats and headdresses, and how to incorporate beading onto your creature.
Whether you pick a bird, a cat, a dog, a snowman or whatever else in between, Debra will guide you in transforming your creature into a work of art. (If you would rather work on a non-creature like a vase or some other 3D vessel, you can do that as well.)
SUPPLIES & MATERIALS PROVIDED
scrap stained glass, tiles, miscellaneous tesserae and beads
glass cutting tools
some adhesives
grout
eye options
feathers and other creature accessories

Debra Mager is now an established and highly regarded self-taught mosaic artist traveling around the country to teach mosaic workshops and to participate in art festivals.
She has a penchant for creating dimensional, whimsical and rather unconventional mosaic works, which include her unique mosaic floral arrangements, birds and other creatures, as well her jeweled mirrors and mosaic shoes.

Covid Policy:
In order to maintain a safe environment, we require proof of a negative antigen home test taken the morning of the workshop. Well fitting masks may be required when indoors. Social distancing will be done whenever possible. Should you test positive, you will not be able to attend. A partial refund or a voucher for another workshop may be offered.
Cancellation Policy:
A full refund, less a $35.00 processing fee, will be given at the cancellation of a workshop registration as long as the cancellation request is received by midnight, 30 days before the event.
No refund or credit is given for cancellations made with less than 30 days’ notice, if you fail to attend, or if you leave the event early, or if you miss part of a session.
Some exceptions may be made for sudden incapacitating illness or family emergencies. You might be able to apply for a partial credit toward another workshop at 2KatStudios within the next 24 months.
If you, or we, are able to find someone to take your place, you will receive a full refund.
If 2KatStudios has to cancel:
If we must cancel for any reason, you may transfer your payment to another workshop, or you may request a refund of your payment to us, constituting a full settlement.
